About the FIPV
The FIPV, International Pikivoley Federation, is born to regulate, organize and spread Pikivoley around the world.
The FIPV is responsible for making the international rules official, standardizing courts, nets, balls, equipment, categories and competition formats, and recognizing the national bodies that govern Pikivoley in each country.

The sport
Pikivoley is the perfect blend of football technique and volleyball dynamics.
The ball goes over the net without ever touching a hand, played only with the feet, head, chest, thigh and knee. It is skill, strategy, agility and teamwork, on any surface: packed dirt, grass or court.

Origin
Pikivoley emerged in the late 1990s in the Ciudad del Este region, as a street game played in neighborhoods.
Today it is recognized as an official sport by the Paraguayan Government and is one of the most played sports in the country, second only to football.

Global expansion
From South America, the FIPV takes on the mission of bringing Pikivoley to the world while preserving its roots. It coordinates the International Calendar, sanctions official competitions and, based on them, builds the World Ranking of athletes, doubles, trios, teams and national squads.
Competitions
The FIPV sets a permanent international calendar, alternating each year between the Pikivoley World Cup and the Continental Cups, and sanctions world championships, international cups and continental competitions.

The 2027 edition, in Brazil, marks the start of the sport's official world calendar and brings together 16 countries at the first World Cup organized under the FIPV's international structure.

The Continental Cups are part of the qualifying system for the following year's World Cup.
Every country affiliated with the FIPV recognizes, at the end of each season, a single national champion per category.
National bodies may organize leagues, circuits, regional stages and other qualifiers throughout the year. But the national calendar must end in a final that decides a single official National Champion per category. There can never be two national champions of the same category in the same season.
The same applies to the Continental Cups: at the end of the competition, there is a single Continental Champion per category.

Pikivoley is officially organized by the FIPV into 3 divisions, 3 age categories and 4 playing styles.
